Louisa Gloria Whyte (nee Morris) was born in Trinidad in 1945. She was sent to England at the age of 16 to complete her education, staying initially with her older brothers in London. She worked in the financial sector, including time spent working at the London Stock Exchange. She moved to East Tilbury with her husband, a lorry driver. This interview covers her childhood; memories of the move to England; her first impressions; and stories about her life since moving.
