American electrical engineer who was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1868. He developed electric machines an electric welding.
Comfort Avery Adams was born on November 1, 1868 in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Case Institute of Technology and graduated as a mechanical engineer in 1905. After working in different companies, he designed large motors and dynamos for Rochester Electric Company. In 1891 he was hired at Harvard University to teach electrical engineering, where he worked in the design of electrical machines and the application of electrical welding. He created the American Welding Society, and was its first president. He died on February 21st in 1958 in Philadelphia, United States.
