A short study of the Alexander the Great’s letter to Aristotle about the wonders of India in the Historia de preliis, the most widespread Latin version of the Alexander romance, written by Alfons Hilka (1877–1939), a German romanist and historian of literature. Hilka was the most active in the field of research of the old French and Medieval Latin literature. Hilka also published many richly annotated editions of important texts of Medieval Latin poetry. Year of publishing: 1909.
