Bacher, Wilhelm
A study of the Nizâmî Gencewî’s life and literary work, written by a Hungarian (of Jewish origin) orientalist and linguist Wilhelm Bacher (1850–1913), and the text of the second part of Nizâmî’s Eskandar-nameh, a poem about Alexander the Great. Nizâmî Gencewî (1141–1203) is considered the most important romantic epic poet in Persian literature, who brought a colloquial and realistic style to the Persian epic. His heritage is widely appreciated and shared in Iran, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan. Although he also wrote lyrical poetry, Nizâmî is best known for his five long narrative poems which have been preserved. Year of publishing: 1871
Studija mađarskog (poreklom jevrejskog) orijentaliste and lingviste Vilhelma Bahera (1850–1913) o životu i književnom delu Nizamija Ganjavija i tekst drugog dela Nizamijevog epa o Aleksandru Velikom (Eskandar-nameh). Godina izdavanja: 1871.
