The root crops have all been recently inspected for the Banbury Agricultural Society, and the heaviest crop of mangold was found to have been grown by Colonel North, M P., Wroxton Abbey, which produced, upon weighing, the enormous weight of 63 tons 11 cwt. per acre. The crop was of such a fine quality, and so extraordinary in weight, that Mr. Ryland weighed them, and several other gentlemen ex- pressed a wish to weigh another portion of it. and they found, upon a fair average of the field (nine acres) 64 tons 1 cwt. 1 qr. and 201bs. per acre. The seed is of the yellow globe variety, and the roots are of the finest quality. It was planted on the 18th of April, and manured with fifteen loads of f irm dung. 3 cut. of Proctor's mangold manure, and 3 cwt. of salt. The rows were 27 inches apart, and the number of bulbs per acre 15,216, which gives an average of nearly 9lbs. 7oz each. Peny-Garreg, Aberayron, April 18, 1860. A popular Treatise on the Diseases of Youth and Manhood, resulting from error &c., with plain directions for self treatment on the modern plan, and the restotation of health and vigour. With chap- ters on marriage, its duties, hindrances, &c., by Professor RALPH THOMSON, l-rom upwards of twenty-five years' experience in a ptactice unequalled for extent and import- ance, the Author is enabled to treat, with the utmost cer- tainty of cure, every variety of disease irisi. tig from solitary habits, excesses and infection, such as Spermatorrhoea Stricture, and bypbilw, in all their stagcs-which, owing to neglect and improper treatment frequently end in disease of the kidneys, stone in the bladder, gravel, gout, rheuma- tism indigestion, debility, skin diseases, and pain in the back, &c. The neglect of these diseases by medical men generally, and their futile attempts to cure by the use by those dangerous medicines-inercury, culbebs, sarsaparilla &c. &c.—ha*e produced the nn st serious results. Suf- ferers are invited to apply without delay to Dr. T., who guarantees a speedy and perfect cure of every symptom, whether primary or secondary, without the above dangerous medicines, thus preventing the possibility of any after symptoms. This truth has been established in many thousands of cases and, as a further guarantee, he under- takes to cure the most inveterate cases in a short time without hindrance from business, change of diet, &c. Per- maneut relief can only be reasonably expected at the hands of those men who devote the whole of their studies to this neglected class of diseases. Persons at a distance can be successfully treated by correspondence, on their sending a full detail of the symptoms, &c., with the fee of One Pound, bv Post-office order, when advice and medicines will be promptly despatched, secure from observation.
