This old-established Jonn:al, which has for so many years enjoyed the highest reputation as an organ of Liberal principles in Politics, and of sound criticism in Literature and Art, now appears under an entirely new management, and with a staff of experienced writers. In their review of public affairs, the conductors seek to represent that lofty, broad, and temperate Liberalism which, while it invariably respects the voice of the people, is never swayed by passion or party prejudice, but is based on the abiding foundations of honour and morality. Especial at- tention is also devoted to Literature and the Fine Arts and the news is carefully re-written, with a view to presenting a lively picture of current history. Incapacity for Society, Study or Business, Skin Eruptions, Soar Ihroat, Pains in the Bones, and all those diseases for which mercury, sarsa- parilla, &c., are too often employed, to the utter destruction of heath. Their powers almost exceed belief: since their introduction, hundreds of apparently hopeless cases have been speedily cured, and thousands have domed almost miaculous relief, when every thing else had failed and they must sooner or later entirely supersede ?onab? remedies which have too long been the sole reh?ance of the medical men of this country. Possessing tonic properties, they agree with the -_4-1't. The superiority of these Pills, even in the most ob- stinate cases, is universally acknowledged, and the extraor- dinarry demand for them without precedent, in no in- stance have they been known to fail, or to produce those dangerous symptoms often resulting from copaiba, &e. Many there are who, from natural diffidence or fear of discovery, would silently bear their afflictions rather than apply for aid to those from whom they may reasonably expect relief. The uniform efficacy of the above, enables such sufferers to cure themselves speedily, privately, and at the least possible expense. Sold by Mr. J. W. M.D., of the ?eo? de Medecine, ?<7/-?; ??M&o- of the Royal Co/?e of I Surgeons, London Licentiate in Midwifery, c., c., Qe. J From long practical observation of the treatment pur- sued in the various Institutions of London and Paris for those diseases referred to in the above work, the Author has had somewhat unusual facilities for acquiring that ac- curacy of diagnosis, and uniform success, which have cha- | racterized his practice for so many years in this country, in which the lamentable neglect of those diseases by medical, men generally, and their futile attempts to cure by mer- cury, copaiba, and sarsaparilla, &c., have produced most distressing results. Lasting benefit in such cases can only be reasonably expected at the hand of the legally-qualified man who devotes his chief attention to their removal; and to him only who can show his possession of the necessary qualifications, can confidence be safely extendjd. Dr. De R. refers with pride to the numbers he has been instru- mental in restoring to health and happiness; and to those who may be in need of such aid he offers every assurance of speedy restoration. A popular Treatise on the JU Diseases of Youth and Manhood, resulting from error, &c., with plain directions for self treatment on the modern plan, and the restoiation of health and vigour. With chap- ters on marriage, its duties, hindrances, &c.f by Professor RALPH THOMSON. From upwards of twenty-five years experience in a practice unequalled for extent and import- ance, the Author is enabled to treat, with the utmost cer- tainty of cure, every variety of disease arising from solitary habits, excesses and infection, such as Speimatorrhcea, Stricture, and Syphilis, in all their stages—which, owing to neglect and improper treatment, frequently end in disease of the kidneys, stone in the bladder, gravel, gout, rheuma- tism, indigestion, debility, skin diseases, and pain in the back, &c. The neglect of these diseases by medical men generally, and their futile attempts to cure by the use by those dangerous medicines-mercury, cubebs, sarsaparilla, &c. &c.—have produced the most serious results. Suf- ferers are invited to apply without delay to Dr. T., who guarantees a speedy and perfect cure of every symptom, whether primary or secondary, without the above dangerous medicines, thus preventing the possibility of any after symptoms. This truth has been established in many thousands of cases and, as a further guarantee, he under- takes to cure the most inveterate cases in a short time, without hindrance from business, change of diet, &c. Per- manent relief can only be reasonably expected at the hands of those men who devote the whole of their studies to this neglected class of diseases. Persons at a distance can be successfully treated by correspondence, on their sending a full detail of the symptoms, &c., with the fee of One Pound, by Post-office order, when advice and medicines will be promptly despatched, secure from observation. Address- DR. RALPH THOMSON, 28, Clarence Road, Kentish Town, London. Those who have hitherto failed in getting relief are earnestly invited, and no case will be abandoned until full satisfaction is given. NERVOUSNESS NO FANCY.
