SECRETARY. AUDITOR. W. R. KETTLE, Waterloo Street, Birmingham. PROSPECTUS. Z!l 0 THE increasing traffic upon English Rail- ways, and the extension of Railway enterprise at home and abroad, have entirely gone beyond the supply of Pailway Trucks anil Rolling Stock, notwithstanding tho formation of several Wagon Companies. The Railway Companies very often cannot, and for some description of merchandise will not, supply Trucks. It is therefore found that the most advantageous course open to the Freighter is to hire Trucks, under a contraot for keeping them in repair. The amount of capital required, and the magnitude of an establishment necessary for the building and reparation of Railway Trucks, point out the business as one pcculiarly adapted for a Joint Stock Company. It is therefore proposed to form such a Company, under the provisions of the Joint Stock Company's Act for the construction, export, maintenance, and hiring out of Rail- way Trucks. The profits of such Companies, even when confined to hiring, have uniformly been largo, some of them £ 10 per Cent., none less than £8 per Cent., and it is under* ood that each Company has also put by a large reserve out of profits beyood the dividends. Gloucester is considered one of the most eligi bio places in the Kingdom for such an undertaking, for the follow- ing amongst other i'easoin—thttt at Gloucester will be obtained. Cheap labour and materials; Large and convenient Premises to be had for a term of years at a reasonable rate Ready access to both systems of Railway, and Water Conveyance by Sea, Kiver, and Canuls An export trade in Trucks; A large demand for the supply of Trucks for the trade of the Port, and for South Wales, Staffoidshiro, and other mineral districts. The Shareholders may fairly anticipate a return of £10 per Cent. on their capital, with reserves lai,t by to secure a certain regular rate of dividend. As the Company will be established on the p: inciple of Limited Liability, no Shareholder will bo libido beyond the amount of his Shares. The Directors will require a deposit of £ 1 per Share upon allotmen t and from the end of June they ealculata upon making calls of £ 1 per J'-hare per mouth until the whole Capital is paid up Arrangements may be entored. into after July next, for the payment in full and in advance of a limited number of Shares. The Promoters have subscribed largely, and applications for the remaining shares, in the following form, will be received by tho Solicitors of the Company, at the tem- porary Offices of the Company, No. I, Barton Street, Gloucester.
