ABRIDGED PROSPECTUS THIS COMPANY is formed for the purpose of taking over and purchasing the powers under the Oyster- mouth Water Order, 1879, confirmed by the Gas and Water Orders Confirmation Act, 1879, and to carry out the agreements made for the purchase of land, springe of water, rights of way, and other easements at Caswell Bay, in the Parish of Oystermouth, in the Ceuntv of Glamorgan, and to construct the necessary Water Works for the purpose of supplying the populous and increasing districts of the Mumbles, Newton, Norton, Langland and Caswell Bays, and part of the Parish of Bishopston, with water for domestic and general purposes, as well as for the flushing of Sewers, watering roads, &c. It has been analysed by Professor Wanklyn, the eminent chemist, who pronounced it to be of excellent quality. The price to be paid for land for a reservoir, and the legal expenses, parliamentary agents, engineers,and local agents charges, advertising and other expenses, and payments incurred and made in respect of obtaining the Provisional Order, is JE1,400 in fully paid up shares. No promotion money has been or will be paid. The price to be paid for the springs and land at Cas- well Bay is £ 1,300, of which B800 is to be paid in fully paid-up shares, and JE500 in debentures. The estimated cost of the engines, reservoirs, mains, and all other necessary works for the supply of water to the places before-named, is £3,800. The works are now in progress, and will be completed and ready for opening within three months.
