Regulations made by the Local Authority for the County of Glamorgan for preventing the introduction and. spread of swine fever in their District. The Order, dated the 12th day of March. 1903. regulating the introduction of swine into the County, so far as it relates to fat swine for immediate slaughter, is rescinded from the commencement of this Order, with- out prejudice to any legal proceedings or liability to legal proceedings for anv act or omission prior to such rescission. REGULATION AS TO FAT SWINE FOR IMMEDIATE SLAUGHTER. Swine for immediate slaughter mav not bt: moved into the District of the Glamorgan County Council from the District of any other Local Authority in England or Wales or Scot- land except on the following conditions :— (a) They may be brought, in bv rail if accom- panied by a, declaration by the owner of the swine or his a.gent, authorised in writing for this purpose, that to the best of his know, ledge and belief the .swine are not. affected with swine fever, and have not during period of twenty-eight days, been in any way exposed to the infection of swine fever. (b) The swine with the above declaration shall not be moved from the railwav station after being untrucked within the District of the Glamorgan County Council except with and subject to the conditions of a Movement Licence of an Inspector of the said County7 Council which will comprise the follow- ing:— (1) The licence shall be in force for not more than two days inclusive of the day of issue, and shall specify the name and ad- dress of the person to whom it is granted. the number of swine that may be moved thereunder, and the name or'description of the railway fetation in the district from which, and of the bacon factory or .slaughterhouse to which the swine are to be moved and the swine shall be moved direct thereto; and (2) The swine, after their arrival at the bacon factory or slaughterhouse, shall be there detained until thev are slaughtered. In this Regulation, "bacon factory" means premises in which the business of a curer of bacon is carried on, and "slaughterhouse" means any premises where animals are habit- ually slaughtered. Swine for immediate slaughter may not be brought into the district otherwise than by rail, except with a Movement Licence of an Inspector of the above-named County Council comprising the same conditions as above- mentioned. Swine, while being moved under a licence shall, so far as practicable, be kept separate from all other swine, and shall be moved by the nearest available route and without un- necessary delay to the place of destination specified in the licence and not elsewhere. This Regulation shall not affect the move- ment of swine to premises in the District of the above-named Local Authority from prem- ises in the Borough of Neath, if and so long as identical Regulations are for the t.ime be- ing in force in such Borough. For the purposes of this Regulation swine shall not be deemed to be moved into the Dis- trict of the above-named Local Authority in any case where they are moved through the District by railway from a place outride the District to another place outside the District without unnecesary delay, and without the swine being untrucked or re-booked within the District.
