LEEDER has been in- structed to OFFER FOR SALE by PUBLIC AUCTION, at the Mackworth Arms Hotel, Swansea, on TUESDAY, the 10th day of December, 1878, at Two for Three o'clock in the Afternoon, all that well-known ANTHRACITE COLLIERY, ca.1!ed the CWMLLYNFELL COLLIEPY, Which has for nearly half a century been carried on by Messrs James and Aubrey, and comprises a mineral pro- perty of about 570 acres, of which about ISO are copy- hold of the Manor of Cacgurwen, and the remainder Leasehold. THE COPYHOLD PORTION Consists of he Farms called "Coedfalde," Ty- newydd," and "Pantyb,%rt," containing about 150 acres, with farm-houses and out-buildings. A recently erected and commodious house suitable for the resi- dence of a Managing Partner, also stabling for colliery horses. Much of the Land is admirably adapted for building, and the whole (except a small portion already let on building leases) is now in hand. The iron-ore, iron-stone, and quarries of stone, and beds of clay and sand, under this property are subject to a lease granted by R. D. Gougli, Esq., to Mr Geo. Crane, for the term of 99 years, from the 1st day of July, 1837, and the rents aud royalties (except surface rents) in respect of the same, belong to the said R. D. Gough, a term of C9 yeai"s and two days from the 1st day of July, 1837, being reserved to him to enable him to receive the same. TIIE LEASEHOLD PORTIONS Comprise the Colliery, with the pits, shafts, icvels, and engine houses, smiths' and carpenters' shops, sawing machine, offices, and cottages, and the coal, culm, iron- stone, and iron ore under the farm called CWMLLYN- FELL," containing 80 acres, or thereabouts, held for the term of 60 years, from the 1st day of January, 1825. Ex- tensive railway sidings have been constructed by the lessees on this property to connect the Colliery with .the Midland Railway. The coal, culm, ironstone, iron ore, stone, fire clay, clay, and sand within and under the farm and lands called "YSTRADOWEN," containing 251a. lr. 39p., held for the term of GO yearj from the 25th day of March, 1873. The coal and iron-ore, or iron-stone, and all other minerals, clay, and stone, in or under the farm and lands called "CWMTWRCH," containing 91a. 2r. 13p., held for a term of 60 years, from the 1st day of July. 1851. Also the surface of the said farm, held for the term of 21 years from the 25th day of March, 1872. This farm is Jet to Mr William Griffiths, as a yearly tenant, at the rent of £53. The rents reserved by the above leases amount together to JE421, and the royalties vary from 4d to 8d on coal, the other royalties being correspondingly low. Rents for surface damage are also reasonable. Almost all the veins of coal known in the district lie under this property, including the Big Vein, Brass. Vein, and Tregloia Vein. The lower measures under the whole, and much of the Big Vein under Coedfalde, and the Brass and Big Veins under Ystradowen, remain unworked. The property is situate in the parishes of Llanguicke and Llangadock, about 15 miles from the Port of Swan- sea, to which access is obtained by means of the Swansea Vale Section of the Midland Railway. The Port of Llanelly is also within reasonable distance by rail; and tbe Colliery is included in the through booking of the various Railway Companies to all the principal markets in England.1 The Colliery is open for a considerable daily out-put, and is in constant work, the trade connection being ex- tensive, and much of it of long standing, so t hat the good- will of the business is of considerable value.. The fixed and moveable machinery and plant at the Colliery, which is considerable, will be included in the sale, but the Colliery horses and ponies, and live and dead farming stock, will nave to be taken at a valuation in the usual way. ORSBORN, representative of Messrs Wetton and Co inventors and patentees of the Magneticon, begs to intimate that he is at present paying a visit to South Wales, and may be consulted daily at MR J. LONG'S, 56, CROCKHERBTOWN, CARDIFF. For the purpose of giving advice as to the application of MAGNETISM AS A CURATIVE AGENT, And explaining the pr neiptes of Messrs. Wetton and Co.'s Patent Magneticon Appliances, of which he will have a large assortment. Mr Orsborn has arranged for Mr J. M'Coy, of Messrs Wetton's Edinburgh establishment, to be in attendance daily at 104, OXFORD-STREET, SWANSEA, For a short period longer. Hours of Attendance at Cardiff and Swansea:- 10 to 1 3 to 5, and 6 to 7. NO CHARGE FOR VISITS OR CONSULTATIONS. Among the spec'al adva:,tages to the Magneticon Ap plian, ces are:- Their simplicity ai,d safety. Their ability to generate electricity without the aid of Batteries, Metallic Plates, Chain Bands, or Acids. They require no preparation, give no shocks, and cause no sores and as the magnetic current passes reaùfy through an intervening garment, they do not require to be worn next the skin. Being made up of light and elastic material, they are as comfortable to wear as an ordinary garment. Though more especially useful in certain classes of diseases, their gently invigorating influence upon the whole system cannot fail to be very beneficial to most invalids," a::ù to those who suffer from any bodily or organic weakness, while their direct action upon the nerves renders them equally useful in many cases which the ordinary remedies fail to effect. T.'E GREAT SECRET OF HEALTH Is never to lose more life-force than the lungs and blood can restore to the nervous system. We constantly radi- ate this force, and as constantly lose it. It is necessary to health, for life is maintained by a proportionate activity of all the forces. Any lagging in a vital organ, and down goes the thermometer of life; and this ia where magnetism lends a most efficient aid. It can be locally applied to any part ol the body—over any great nervous centre—and the lagging organ gently stimulated to do its duty. Any applications by letter will receive careful atten- tion, and suitable appliances or t advice respecting them will be forwarded by return post. Mr G. Hunt OrsLorn may be consulted by appoint- ment, and, when desired, will call upon invalids at their homes. INDIGESTION, GENEHAL DEBILITY, AND RHEUMATISM, Roath, Cardiff, Nov. 22, 1878. I have great pleasure in informing .you that the "Magneticon" applir.nccs which I purchased of you in August last, viz., belt, spine bant, and soles, have greatly relieved me from indigestion, general debilitv, and rheumatism from which I had suffered, more or less, for several years. At the time I purchased the appli- ances I was in a very weak state indeed, and unable to walk any distance scarce, but I am thankful to say I can now walk 3 or 4 miles in ease and comfort.—Yours truly, B. W. H. p.S.—You can give my name to enquirers. LOSS OF VOICE. Parliament-street, Gloucester, Jan. 31, 1877. For the last ten years I have suffered much from loss of voice, especially during the winter months, when I have often been confincd to the house, and quite unable to speak. In October last I was advised to try one of your Magnetic Appliances, and since wearing it have never lost my voice a single time, and feel altogether like a newperson. II-vini derived so much benefitlthink it but right that I thuuld advise you of the tame, and shall take every opportunity of recommending the Ap- pliances to my friends. M. WILLIAMS. DESILITY. 23, Mansel-street, Swansea, November 16th, 1878. Dear Sir,—It is with great pleasure I add my testimony to the value of the Magneticon appliances. About 12 months since lwas in a frightful state of general de- bility, and suffered severely from palpitation of the heart, neuralgia, pa'nj in the head, indigestion, and many other ailments which are too frequently the natu- ral result of a nervous systsm considerably below [ ar. On tiie recommendation of a friend in Penzance, I pur- chased a belt and spine band of your firm, aud was soon, I am happy to say, conscious of a great change in my Feneral health. I became much stronger, the symptoms II ave described gradually decreased, and I felt like a man who had taken a new lease of life. My friends are astonished at the change in me and no wonder, for I had consulted many well-known medical men, and had had recourse to a host of so-called remedies," without deriving the slightest b. ne5t. The improvement in my health still continues, and I can IbW walk 15 or 20 miles without feeling the least fatigued. Mv appetite, too, is capital, whereas before weaving the Magneticon I could scarcely bear the look of food. Trusting you will be successful in introducing your valuable appliances into South Wales, I remain, my dear Sir, Your gratefu, servant, H. J. M. P.S.—You can give my name to anyone who may desire to refer to me, and I shall be glad to answer any enquiries. BRONCHITIS AND CROUP. 20, Wellington-street, Gloucester, December 11, 187C. Miss Sargeant desires to tell Messrs Wctton and Co. that she has no objection to her letter being a reference, hoping others may derive the same benefit she has done Previous to wearing the Magnetic Appliance she has been for years very subject to bronohitis and croup, hav- ing great weakness and cough, preventing sleep. She has now entiiely lust her cough, is less susceptible of cold, sleeping well, and feeling much strengthened, not fearing to go out in damp weather. The f,ilowillg is from Mr II. J. For a long tine 1 suflercd from want 0: >leep, and about 10 weeks since 1 purchased a Magnetic Cap from your lepresentative. i ice then I huvd had a Spine i'ati; of hiin, aud I am h; p;>y to say my ple^p is quits restored, and I can now sleep as well as evi r I did in my life. I have, therefore, great pleasure in recommending these Al-lilianew to all who suffer in a like manner. HE^fRY J. WI, RING. We have much pleasure in publishing the following letters from bit-s and Miss Ellicott, the wife and daughter of the Bishop of Gloucester and Bristol. EXTRACTS. Palace, Gloucester, Oct. 17, 1876. Palace, Gloucester, Oct, 20, 1876. Dear Sir,—Mrs Ellicott wishes me to say that she will be happy for you to publish the extract from her nets res¡Kct:nJ The Magneticon" Spine Band supplied to me, from which I continue to derive the greatest bene- fit.—Believe, yours faithfully, R. F. ELLICOTT. RHEUMATISM. Glascombe Vicarage, Radnorshire, 8 ptembtr 17, 1877. I have to thank God that I had the pleasure of meeting you m Hereford, and by your advice I tried your Appli- aiices-the Knee Caps-as I waa suffering for some years, and able to walk but little, and that with the assistance of a stick, but now I can do so without one, and walk a mile without pain, and have the greatest pleature in testifying to the great benefit I derive from using Wetton's Magnetic Appliances the pain in my knee left me in three days after using the Appliances. I am 73 years of age. BENJAMIN MARt DEN, Vicar of Glascombe, and Justice of Peace for the County of Radnor. p.s,—Make what use you think proper of this testi- monial. I expect you have many applications both in Londqp4«ad Cheltenham, as all the neighbourhood are applying for information, and I give your address in both places. CLERICAL THROAT Cheltenham, 14th April, 1S74 For some time past I have used the "Magneticon" Chest Protector and Belt, and I feel grateful that I have done so. For years I have suffered considerably in winter from relaxed throat; but I am grateful to say that ever since I have worn these I have never had a momentary return of clerical throat." I have also been greatly relieved from pains across the back. I can cordially recommend the use of the various Appliances, as the need may be, of The Magneticon." A. MORTON BROWN, LL.D., Minister of the Congregational Church. CHRONIC ASTHMA. 33, Treville-street, Plymouth, 3rd June. 1878. DEAR SIR,—The Magneticon Lung Invigorator which I purchased of you two months since I am nappy to say is doing good work. I have made about 6 lbs increase in weight in that time appetite is better, and general health and tone much improved. I am the more pleased to be able to say this, as I had always been rather scepti- cal as to the value of such appliances in such cases as mine, it being one of long standing, and I confidently hope to be able to report to you a still further progress. I am, dear sir, faithfully yours, F. R. DUNSTAN. INFLAMMATION. Hill Park-cre.cent, P ymouth, July 19 1377 Twelve months ago I purchased a Lung Invigorator and Belt, and am glad to say that the benefit I have de- "^ed from them is wonderful. During the winter of 1876-71 have been entirely free from a couah which bad formerly been very troublesome, and was caused by in- flammation of the bronchilltubes. I have also been able to tO without cod liver oil, which had cost me about J&4 or £5 per year. Anyone who suffers from a complaint such 48 this I should strongly recommend to try the II Magneticon.' I shall esteem it a favour if you will make this known, and will, with pleasure, answer any questions, HENRY fibVELESS. WETTON AND CO. LONDON- V. 7 48, Regent-street.
