LEEDER has been in- structed to OFFER FOR SALE by PUBLIC AUCTION, at the Niii-k" ortli Arms Hotel, Swansea, on TUESDAY, the 10th day of December, 1878, at Two for Three o'clock in the Afternoon, all that well-known ANTHRACITE COLLIERY, called the CWALLLYN FELL COLLIEPY, Which has for nearly half a century been carried on by Messrs James and Aubrey, and comprises a mineral pro- perty of about 070 acres, of which about 1[;0 are copy hold of the Manor of Caegurwen, and the remainder Leasehold. THE COPYHOLD PORTION Consists of he Farms called "Coedfalde," Ty- newydd, and "Paiitybari," COI)tahlillg about 150 acres, witt) farm-bouses and out-buildings. A recently erected and commodious house suitable for the resi- dence of a lIanaging Partner, also stabling for colliery horses. Much of the Land is admirably adapted for building, and the whole (except a small portion already let oil buiiding leases) is now in hand. The iron-ore, iron-stone, and quarries of stone, and beds of clay and sand, under this property are subject to a lease granted by R. D. Gougb, Esq., to Mr Geo. Crane, for the term of 99 years, from the 1st day of July, 1837, and tie re; ts aud royalties (except surface rents) in respect of the same belong to the said R. D. Gougli, a ten,, of 99 years and two days from the 1st day of July, 1837, being reserved to him to enable him to retvive the same. THE LEASEHOLD PORTIONS Comprise the Colliery, with the pits, shafts, levels, and engine hùuss, smiths' and carpenters' shops, sawing machine, offices, and cottages, and the coal, culm, iron- stone, and iron ore under the farm called 1, CWMLLYN- i'ELL," containing 80 acres, or thereabouts, held for the term of 00 years, from the 1st day of January, 1825. Also the surface of the said farm, held for the term of 21 years from the day of March, 1872. This farm is Jet to Mr William Griffiths, as a yearly tenant, at the rent of 453. The rents reserved by the above leases amount together to e421, and the royalties vary fspm 4d to 8d on coal, the other royalties being correspondingly low. Rettsforl surface damage are also reasonable. Almost all the veins of coal known in the district lie under this property, including the Big Vein, Brass Vein, and Tregloiu Vein. The lower measures under the whole, and much oi the Big Vein uuder Coedfalde, and the Brass and Big Veins under Ystradowen, remain unworked. The property is situate in the parishes of Llanguicke and Llangadock, about 16 miles from the Port of Swan- sea, to which access is obtained by means -if the Swansea Vale Section of the Midland Iiailuay, The Poit of Llanelly is also within reasonable distance by rail and the Colliery is included in the through booking of the various Railway Companies to all the principal markets in England. The Colliery is open for a considerable daiiy out put, and is in coustaut work, the trade connection being ex- tensive, and much of it of longstanding, sotbatthc good- will of the business is of considerable value. The fixed and moveable machinery and plant at the Colliery, which is considerable, will be included in the sale, but tlio Colliery hurse$and ponies,-and live and dead farming stock, will have to be taken at a valuation in the usual way. The Firm have always kept a stock of a few thousand tons of coal and culin at the Colliery, which the purchaser of the Colliery will have the option of pur- chasing. The present selling price at the pit's mouth for best coal is 6s 9d to 7s 6d nett per statute ton, the prices of other qualities varying from a minimum of 3s per ton for culm to the before-mentioned prices. There are no contracts in hand, so that full advantage could be taken of any- upward movement in the coal trade. M'Coy, of Messrs Wetton's Edinburgh establishment, to tie in attendance daily at 1C-4, OXFORD-STREET. SWANSEA, For a short period longer. Hours of Attendance at Careuff and Swansea10 to 1 3 to 5, and 6 to 7. NO CHARGE FOR VISITS OR CONSULTATIONS. Among the specaJ advantages to the Magnctieon Ap pliances are:- Their simplicity aed safctr. Their ability to generate electricity without the aid of Batteries, Aletallic Plates, Chain Bands, or Acid, They lequire no preparation, give no shocks, and cause no sores and as the magnetic current passes readily through an intervening garment, they do not require to be worn next the skin. Being made up of light and elastic material, they are as comfortable to wear as an ordinary garment. Though more especially useful in certain classes of diseases, their gently invigorating influence upon the whole system cannot fail to be very beneficial to most invalids, and to those who suffer from any bodily or organic weakness, while their direct action upon the nerves renders them equally useful in many cases which the ordinary remedies fail to effect. TilE GREAT SECRET OF HEALTH Is never to lose more life-force than the lungs and blood can restore to the nervous system. We constantly radi- ate this force, and as constantly lose it. It is necessary to health, for life is maintaineel by a proportionate activity of all the forceo. Any lagging in a vita! organ, and down goes the thermometer of life; and this is where magnetism lends a most efficient aid. It can be locally applied to any part of the body-over any great nervous centre—and the lagging organ gently stimulated to do its duty. Any applications by letter will receive careful atten- tion, and suitable appliances or advice respecting them will be forwarded by return post. Mr G. Hunt Orsborn may be consulted by appoint- ment, and, when desired, will call upon invalids at their homes. LOCAL TESTIMONIALS. INDIGESTION, GENERAL DEBILITY, AND RHEUMATISM, Roath, Cardiff, Nov. 22, 1878. 1 have great pleasure in informing you that the Magneticon appliances which I purchased of you in August last, viz., belt, spine banJ, and soles, have greatly relieved me from indigestion, general debility, and rheumatisi" from which I had suffered, more or less, for several years. At the time I purchased the appli- ances I was in a very weak state indeed, and unable to walk any distance scarce, but I am thankful to say I can now walk 3 or 4 miles in case and comfort.—Yours truly, B. W. H. you can give my name to enquirers. LOSS OF VOICE. Parliament-street, Gloucester, Jan. SI, 1S77. For the last ten years I have suffered much fr'm loss of voice, especially during the winter in when I have often been confined to the house, and quite unable to ypeak. In October last 1 was advised to try one of your Magnetic Appliances, and since wearing it have never lost my voice a single time, and feel altogether like a new person. Having derived so much benefit I think it but right that I should advise you of the same, and shall take every opportunity of recommending the Ap- pliances to my friends. M. WILLIAMS. DEBILITY. 23, Mansc'slreet, Swansea, November 16th, 1878 Dear .Sir, -It is with great pleasure 1 add my testimony to the value of the Magneticon appliances. About 12 months siitcc I was in a frightful state of genera! de- bility, and suffered severely from palpitation of the heart, neuralgia, pains in the head, indirection, ana many, other ailments which are too frequently the natu- ral result of a nervous system considerably below i ar, On the recommendation of a friend in Penzance, I pur- chased a belt and spine band of your firm, and was soon, I am happy to say, conscious of a great change in my general health. I became much stronger, the symptoms I I ave described gradually decreased, and I felt like a man who had taken a new lease of life. My friends are astonished at the change in me; and no wonder, for I had consulted many well-known medical men, and bad had recourse to a host of so-called remedies," without deriving the slightest h^efif. Tiie improvement in my health still continues, a#* 1 <^u now walk la or 20 miles without feeling the least fatigued. My appetite, tuo, is capital, whereas before wearing the Magneticon I could scarcely bear the look of food. Trusting you will be successful in introducing your valuable appliances into South Wales, I remain, my dear Sir, Your grateful servant, H. J. M. P.S.-You can give my name to anyone who may desire to refer to me, and I shall be glad to answer any enquiries. BRONCHITIS AND CROUP. 20, Wellington-street, Gloucester, December 11, 1876. Miss Sargeant desires to tell Messrs Wetton and Co. that she has no objection to her letter being a reference, hoping others may derive the same benefit she has done Previous to wearing the Magnetic Appliance she has been for ytoars very subject to bronchitis and croup, hav- ing great weakness and cough, preventing sleep. She has now entirely lost her cough, is less susceptible of cold, sleoping well, and feeling much strengthened, not fearing to go out in damp weather. The f lowing is from Mr H. J. NVar'nr, late deputy- chairman of the Plymouth Chamber of Conimeue — SLEEPLESSNESS. O,biriie Hi)Ls,, Plymouth, 4th .JuD] IsTS. For a long time 1 sufiered from want of flccp. and about 10 weeks since 1 purchased a Magnetic Cap from your representative, fci.ice then I have had a Spine Eaud of him, and 1 am happy to say my sleep is quite restored, and I can now sleep as well as ever I did in mv life. I have, therefore, great pleasure in recommending these Appliances to all who suiTer in a like manner HENRY J. WAKING. We have much pleasure in publishing the following letters from Mrs aud Miss Ellicott, the wife and daughter of the Bishop of Gloucester and Bristol. EXTRACTS. Palace, Gloucester, Oct. 17, 1876. Mis Ellicott has pleasure in testifying to the wonder- fully strengtheninT effects of the Spine Band supplied to her daughter and will take every opportunity of recommending The Magneticon to her friends. Palace, Gloucester, Oct, 20, 1876. Dear Sir,—Mrs Ellicott wishes me to saj that she will be happy for you to publish the extract from her nots re^pect'ng The Magneticon Spine Band supplied to me, from which I continue to derive the greatest bene- fit.—Believe, yours faithfully, R. F. ELLICOTT. RHEUMATISM. Glasccmbe Vicarage, Radnorshire, September 17, 1877. I have to thank God that I had the pleasure of meeting you in Hereford, aud by your advice I tried your Appli- ances—the Knce Caps as I was suffering for some years, and able to walk but little, and that with the assistance of- a stick, but now I can do so without one, and walk a mile without pain, and have the greatest pleasure in testifying to Lhe great benefit I derive from using Wetton's Magnetic Appliances the pain in my knee left me in three days after using the Appliances. I am 73 years of age. BENJAMIN MAR5DEN, Vicar of Glascoinbe, and Justice of Peace for the County of Radnor. P.S.- Make what use you think proper of this testi- monial. I expect you have many applications both in London and Cheltenham, as all the neighbourhood are applying for information, and I give your address in both places.. CLERICAL THROAT 'I — Cheltenham, 14th April, 1874 For some time past I have used the "Magneticon" Chest Protector and Belt, and I feel grateful that I have done 80. For years I have suffered considerably in winter from relaxed tbroat; but Jam grateful to say that ever since I have worn these I have never had a momentary return of clerical throat." I have also been greatly relieved from pains across the back. I can cordially recommend the use of the various Appliances, as the need may be, of The Magneticon." A. MORTON BROWN, LL.D,, Minister of the Congregational Church. CHRONIC ASTHMA. 33, TreviUe-street, Plymouth, 3rd June, 1878. DEAR SIR,—Tiie Magneticon Lung Invigorator which I purchased of you two months since I am happy to say is doing good work. I have made about 6 lbs increase in weight in that time appetite is better, and general health and tone much improved. I am the more pleased to be able to say this, as I had always been rather scepti- cal as to the value of such appliances in such cases as mine, it being one of long standing, and I confidently hope to be able to report to you a still further progress I am, dear sir, faithfully yours, F. R. DUNSTAN. INFLAMMATION. Hill Park-crescent, P ymoutb, July 19, 1877. Twelve months ago I purchased a Lung Invigorator and Belt, and am glad to say that the benefit I have de- rived from them is wonderful. Cu ing the winter of 1876-7 I have been entirely free from a cough which had formerly been very troublesome, and was caused by in- flammation of the bronchial tubes. I have also been able to «:0 without cod liver oil, which had cost me about ;C4 or Lb per year. Anyone who suffers from a complaint such as this I should strongly recommend to try the Mag-neLi I shall esteem it a favour if you will make this known, and will, with pleasure, answer any questions, HENRY LOVELESS.
