Sealed tenders endorsed" Water Works to be sent to the undersigned on or before the 2bth inst. By order, J. H. WAIN WRIGHT, Clerk to the said Board. Club Chambers, Pontypool, August 5th, 1886. 81422 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUSTICE (CHANCERY DIVISION). V..C. BACON. FOX v. THE LYDNEY AND WIGPOOL IRON ORE COMPANY, LIMITED. TENDERS are INVITED for the PURCHASE of the FREEUOLD and LEASEHOLD PROPERTIES of the LYDNEY AND WIGPOOL IRON ORE COMPANY (LIMITED), comprising the WIGPOOL HAEMATITE JIINES, situak near Mitcheldean, in the county of Gloucester, and thePARKFIELl) ESTATE, near Wolveihampton. The Mines are held undr Gale Grants from the Crown at reasonable rents and royalties, aud embrace an area of about 41 acres, containing rich deposits of Haematite Iron Ore of exceptional quality, which has been largely used for the "Soudiey" and "Cinder- ford" bra.ndsoi pig iron. These brands ûbtaiu,a.t least 10s per ton more than the west coast pig iron. The iron ore deposits have been won from two shafts, and have proved to be of unusual magnitude and develop- ment. The works are well laid out, and fitted with engiues, boilers, machinery, offices, workshops, stores, and every convenience for extensive and economical working, in complete railway communication with all iron-making districts. The works and machinery are maintained in good condition and partly in work, fully stocked, and are tü be sold as a going concern. The Parkfield Estate adjoins the borough of Wolver- hampton, and embrace5 au area of about 160 acres..f freehold property, with a substantial residence within about ten minut s' walk of Wolverhampton Market- place, and about 60 cottages and buildings, which, with lands and rents and royalties of coal and iron stone, yield a considerable annual income. There are five blast furnaces upon the property, with stoves, Mast en¡¡;ine3, machinery, and plant for making pig-iron, together with office-, workshops, and "t(>res. These works are connected with the North-Western Railway and the Birmingham Canal, affording com- plete communication both by rail and by water with the markets for raw materiab and wit,h the manufac- turing works in the district. Special arrangements can be made for the conveyance of the ore from Wigpool mines to these furnaces, and the special brand of pig- iron it makes would find its market in the district. The property afÏords ample scope for the development of the works and the manufacture of the higllest brands of iron, also of the superior classes of steel, including plates and wire, for which this pig. iron has special qua.lities. With such extensions of the works, and the initia- bon of other indtlstrie ior which the property offers many advantages, the freehold would greatly increae In value by virue oi its position, having over three. quarters of a mile of frontage to the highway from Wolverhampton to Bilston, and being bounded for a considerable distance by the road frtun Wolverhampton to Sedgley, along which a passenger tramway is laid connecting those towns. Very large expenditures have he en made upon both of the properties, and they are offered for sale either singly or together. Full particulars and forms of tender may be obtained on application to Donald M. D. Stuart, Esq., Oldland Common, near Bristol Messrs Hoddinott and Davis, Tower Chambers, Moorgate, E.C., Solicitors Charles Butcher, Esq., of 25, Old Jewry, E.C., Solicitor; and Messrs Neve and Cresswell, Wolverhampton, Solicitors. Tenders are invited for the purchase of the above two properties either singly or both together, and must be in writing and must be sent, addressed to The Chief Cicrk (Chancery) Acting in Vacation, Royal Courts of Justice, Strand," on or before the 25th day of September, 1886. 81425 Emitting adetít5.
