The Greek philosopher Aristotle (384 - 322 BC) was one of the founding figures in Western philosophy. This volume also includes works by Theophrastus (c.371 - 287 BC), a Greek philosopher and successor to Aristotle in the peripatetic school. His interests ranged from biology and physics to ethics and metaphysics. Also included in this volume are works by Alexander Aphrodisaeus (flourished 200 AD), a Peripatetic philosopher and the most celebrated of the Ancient Greek commentators on the writings of Aristotle.
